Tisno, small croatian village, is divided between an island and mainland, connected by a 20m bascule bridge. It is first mentioned under the name 'Kraj In Tisno' in 1474. The place owes its name to the Croatian word for 'strait' (tisno) where a narrow sea-flow separates the mainland from the island. The historic, old part of Tisno is on the island and the new part is on the mainland. About accommodation in Tisno, we have several apartments, all of them are right to the sea. In Pirovac we have B&B Maestral. You can book them too. Don't forget that you can also rent a boat and/or scooter at fabourable price. welcome at Tisno, Croatia
